Divitel delivers streaming platform for Ziggo TV app
December 2011. Ziggo recently launched the new version of its popular Ziggo TV app for iPad; Divitel delivered the video technology for this state-of-the-art platform; a so-called ‘streaming platform’.
The popularity of the Ziggo TV app is already enormous. This app (free of charge) allows the user to watch, ten of the most wanted Dutch television channels, live!, on its iPad, and meanwhile on iPhone and iPod Touch as well. One should only have internet from Ziggo.
In order to broadcast the ten most wanted Dutch television channels in HD-quality, live, Ziggo has enabled Divitel.
“A very progressive and innovative project, particularly in relation to the architecture and construction of the streaming platform. A unique project, established in collaboration with Ziggo. The peculiarity is in its scale; the number of live streams that can be deployed simultaneously”, said Hans Kornmann, CEO of Divitel.
